How do you reach your ideal client? Omni-channel marketing is how.
I know, you are probably thinking, what? What is omni-channel marketing?!
Before I answer that, let’s have think about all the various ways in which you can reach an ideal client. In years gone past, it was probably only one channel, a referral partner, centre of influence, partner firm – whatever you may call them.
Nowadays, there are plenty of ways in which you can reach your ideal client AND remain in contact with your existing clients. If you are reading this blog post, you are probably a Financial Adviser, BDM, PDM, CDM or, similar. All can benefit to this marketing approach.
Omni-channel marketing means optimizing every marketing communications channel there is to reach your clients and to remain relevant to them. It means creating a marketing communications plan that creates value, enhances their experience with you, exceeds their expectations and allows them to spread your message [through their social channels]. I would suggest that your communications needs to:
Marketing communication messages should be consistent and repeated. Remember it can take us up to seven times seeing the same message before we really see and read it!
Make it relevant, repeat it across all communication channels and you increase your chance of them following your call to action. What is a call to action? The action you want the person to take once they have read, viewed or heard your message. Many people forget this part which is a shame because it is one of the most critical parts of marketing communications – telling the person what to do next. If you don’t tell people, how are they to know?
