We recently held this event for a financial adviser and it worked so well, I thought I’d share it with you.
This advice business specialises in helping small businesses get their financial wealth in order; they focus on the business owner.
One of the things that we know is that most small business owners work incredibly hard and take little or no time out of their business which has lots of ramifications one of them being that they become isolated. So we wanted to not only position this business as the hub of all things financial for small business owners but also lend them a hand and get them together; to meet others in the same situation as them.
We held a half-day workshop – it was a great success.
It’s important to add value when you hold an event like this. Yes they like you and what you have to say but they want more – everyone wants more!
We hosted a breakfast first so that they could mingle and get to know each other. They each had 10 minutes to talk about their business – the why, what and how. We had three guest speakers talking about the hot topics of business success. We ended with a relaxation session [they laughed but loved it!] and then we hosted a light lunch which allowed them to get social again and network.
The feedback has been amazing.

In this digital era don’t shy away from client events. If you think about it and organise something that is worthwhile, it helps increase retention and acquisition of new clients.
