For years, as business owners, we have bended over backwards to deliver exceptional service to our clients and, clients have had the opportunity to rate us on their perception of our customer service via blogs, Face Book and many other technology platforms.
On occasions, we have all experienced clients that we just don’t want to work with ever again, clients who have perhaps treated your team badly, not paid on time or are just down right rude and show no respect for you as a business person.
In the US there is a car service that allows their clients to rate them on their service BUT the biggest difference is that they also rate their clients on how they behaved in their cars! Imagine if you could rate your clients on their behavior? I’m confident that most of us would rate 90% of our clients extremely highly because they are respectful and behave in the manner we all expect BUT, what about that small percentage that you would love to tell the world about, to warn them that they never pay on time, say one thing and do another and treat people badly….well watch out! because technology enables us to rate clients just as much as clients rate us.
What does this mean for the future? perhaps everyone will start to behave in a more respectful manner across all industries? can you think of a client that you would like to warn others against, perhaps not now but in the past? and how would businesses rate you?
